Wonderful War Being Waged!

It's been all go!  A copy of the book should have been delivered today (May 27) to the bureaucrats in Copenhagen, that sparked the fun-and-games. Eager to see if I get a response. Also alerted the Danish media. Again, we'll see if any interest is generated. But if they're like 'Fleet Street' their reaction will be a very sniffy 'so what?' Also told Liz Lynne, MEP for the West Midlands - who of course represents the home of the Mighty-M - what action I've taken. But have no great expectations about stirring the marmeet pot. It's a long weekend (even in Denmark, I think - but need to check) and the last thing these people want to come thumping down on their desks is a tome about Marmite! But I bet some 'suit' in Copenhagen grabs it and sneeks it home - to entertain his family and friends this sunny weekend!

ON ITS WAY TO DENMARK!

So, have done it! Just mailed a copy of  Mish-Mash  to the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration. Under no illusion it will change minds - but they'll get an entertaining read, as they discover that Marmite is not 'fortified'. Well just one of the vitamins (B-12) is added. The other four Vitamin Bs are found naturally in yeast-extract, ie the waste sludge from the brewing industry. Which begs the question: why, as a great brewing nation, has Denmark not produced its own version of the Mighty-M?

CARE PACKAGES TO DENMARK!

Boycott their bacon! Back away from their sugary pastries! Ban their beer! Send crates of the Mighty-M to your 'starving' pals in Denmark! The Danish Government has deemed Marmite ILLEGAL. I should make haste to Copenhagen and hurl copies of Mish-Mash at their silly heads.... but I should (in fact now I've thought about it I will) send one. Also, by just putting 'Marmite Maggie' into any search engine, all manner of on-line references will be found. Mish-Mash is designed to be - like the black-magic stuff itself - dipped into. Fellow-Brit Corrine Bayraktaroglu is a numero uno fan. An artist of amazing talent and diversity she has built a shrine to Marmite (yes, she loves it!) which now hangs in the dining-room of her home in Ohio.
